SPI Technical has developed the above custom made IR Floods. These are used in conjuction with our infrared camcorders and cameras.

  • 18 triple chip IR leds equal to 54 separate leds.
  • 3.6 watts of IR light produced
  • Centre IR leds 30°  angle.
  • Outer IR leds 60°  angle.
  • Unique feature should a row of leds stop working the rest of the unit will still work.
  • Powered by 4 AA batteries.
  • They can easily run for 12 hrs or more especially on lithium batteries. In fact on lithium batteries they can easily last for 2 – 3 investigations approximately.

SPI technical has developed the mark 2 IR floods which are double the power of our original mark 1 IR floods. They have been made for large indoor / outdoor areas.

  • 36 triple chip IR leds equal to 108 separate leds.
  • 7.2 watts of IR light produced
  • Centre IR leds 30°  angle.
  • Outer IR leds 60°  angle.
  • Unique feature should a row of leds stop working the rest of the unit will still work.
  • Powered by 4 AA batteries.
  • They can run for approximately 9 - 10 hours on lithium batteries.

SPI technical has specially developed the mark 3 IR floods which are double the power of our original mark 2 IR floods and quadruple the power of a mark 1. They have been made for specially for outdoor use when maximum IR light is required. To our knowledge we have not seen anything on the market which compares to the power of these IR Floods.

SPI technical has specially developed our latest IR Flood which is completely direct from the rest it probably the most powerful available – designed with outdoor use in mind with a maximum of IR light is needed.

60 Watts full power standard alkalines will last approximately 3 hours.

40 Watts standard alkalines will last approximately 4.5 hours.

20 Watt standard alkalines will last approximately 8 hours.

Times will significantly increase using high quality lithium or high quality alkaline batteries.

The first illuminator is the prototype which is 20 Watts.

The bigger brother’s have two switches so the power can be varied these illuminators are using IR Stars each one is 5Watts and using convex lenses to spread the IR light more evenly.
